Comments: We are not familiar with the talented pair of knife makers who created this masterpiece called "Spawn", but it was so stunning in person we just had to buy it! The carving of stainless steel is so elaborate and intricate, and took so long to do, that it drove the makers from the knife business - as they couldn't make any money at it!
But we have it on good authority that they were pupils of J. D. Smith, and some of their work was picture in the 2003 edition of Knives Annual.
We have never seen a knife quite like it, and the amount and quality of the detail work is absolutely astonishing. The titanium frame is heat colored in a number of fascinating patterns and hues, and there is a folding blade release which is really unique. We have never seen anything quite like it and it has to been seen in person to be fully appreciated. One thing is for sure, you won't find another collector who has anything like it!.
And please let us know if you have any information about the knife's creators.
