Comments: For those of you not familiar with Schuyler Lovestrand you are in for a treat, as he is one of the best and most talented fixed-blade masters in knife making today. An 18 year Knife Maker’s Guild Member, Schuyler has been making knives for more than 25 years and currently has an 18 month waiting list. Many people try to catch him at shows, but since he only attends one a year that’s not as easy as it sounds! The top knife is a classic Trailing-point Hunter with an outstanding Walrus Tooth handle, and the second knife is Schuyler’s version of the short Drop-point Hunter, also with an outstanding single-piece, narrow-tang, Fossil Walrus handle. Both blades have a wonderful clean, crisp grind, and the satin finished spacers and butt cap are nicely accented with red fiber liners. These are both terrific knives, and this work can be compared in quality to anyone making knives today – and we mean anyone! You will not be disappointed.
