Comments: Most of you will be familiar with the slick artfully styled folders of Louisiana maker Charlie Dake, but what you may not know is that Charlie is back in the shop making knives after being wiped out in the Hurricane that devastated the city of New Orleans several years ago.
Charlie calls himself part-time these days as he is in a position of not having to take orders because of his long standing reputation for top notch construction, excellent function and high value. So we were lucky to find ourselves seated next to Charlie at the recent Knife Makers Guild Show in Louisville, KY.
This brand new knife is a classic Dake double-action design fully dressed in Charlie's superb back-filing and sleek overall design.The Fossil Mammoth scales have superb color and are as nicely matched as you are likely to find.
