A native of Australia, Warren Osborn lived in Waxahachie, Texas, until his death. He was a full-time knifemaker and sold his first custom knife in 1980.
He was well known for his high-end custom folding knives, many of which had elaborately engraved interframes by some of the top embellishers in the industry. In 1985, he became a probationary member of the Knifemakers’ Guild. In later years, he became a voting member and served on the Guild’s board of directors. He is probably best known for his knife designs as a result of his many collaborations with Benchmade Knife Co.
