Comments: Another stunning work of art by the sole-author husband and wife team of Shaun and Sharla Hansen. This superb large Fancy fixed-blade dagger is from the most recent 2024 Art Knife Invitational Show in Las Vegas (AKI) and everywhere you look there are interesting details that catch the eye.

The guard and pommel are hot blued and then inlaid with gold and they perfectly complement the Gem-grade Black Jade handle. The sheath is Hot Blued as well, with German Silver fittings, carved and filigreed, with stainless panel, carved, 24 carat gold inlay decorated with Fantasy Bulino engraving.

Award winners at both Atlanta and New York Shows, members of the Art Knife Invitational (AKI) and the Art in Metal Show (AIM), this team makes only about a dozen knives a year, so they are very tough to come by. Sole authors Shaun and Sharla really do it all
