Those familiar with the work of ABS Master Smith Ron Newton are already aware that although he can make any type of knife in any style he is best known for his Antique English and American Bowie reproductions. And this small hidden tang hunter is just one example of what makes Ron’s knives so special. The blade is forged from W-2 tool steel in Ron’s own shop, and the stag handles are super-premium Amber colored Indian Sambar Stag. The guard is stainless steel and the entire package feels just right in the hand. This knife also took the award for Best Hunter at the 2003 Spirit of Steel Show, and was also featured in a Blade Magazine article. A great knife that is just another chip from the Master's work bench.
