Comments: Every once in a while you run across a new maker who seems to show incredible potential right from the start - and Rodney Watts of Hot Springs, SD is just such a maker. Neighbor and friend of slip-joint wizard Rusty Preston, Rodney credits Rusty with showing him the knife making ropes just a few years ago.
We love Rods wonderful original shapes, such as this updated Clip-point pattern, as well as the flawless satin finish on all of his blades.
This knife is the first we've ever seen with a tapered tang and Roman Knot back-filing which perfectly compliments the stunning Fossil Mammoth tooth scales..
This knife was engraved by talented Utah Artist Bruce Christenson adding just the right touch of sophistication to this great shape.
Rod is totally committed to making the best knife possible and we can't wait to see what the future holds. Our guess is that he is headed for greatness - but of course only time will tell. In the meantime the knives just keep getting better and better, so don't miss the chance to buy one of these stylish fixed blades for what we still consider to be short money for the quality.
