John has done everything on this knife including forging and heat-coloring the Damascus as well as engraving the blade and back-strap with 24 carat gold and there is a solid gold thumb-stud and solid gold screws throughout.
The back-strap and spine of the blade are also gold engraved, and those parts of the back-strap that are not engraved are filed in the shape of a rope. Cleanly filed and gold anodized titanium liners set off the heat-colored Damascus and the flawless presentation grade Black-lip Pearl just perfectly.
Finally, John’s name is engraved in gold at the base of the blade – an ultimate Smith folder!
