Comments: This John W. Smith has it all. And as usual, that means sole authorship. John has done everything on this knife including forging and bluing the Damascus as well as engraving the bolsters and back-strap with 24-carat gold.

As you know, John is one of the world's finest makers as well as a former member of the Art Knife Invitational for decades. He is no longer making art knives due to his health.

There are solid gold screws throughout, and the release button is hand-checkered and engraved with gold as well. The back-strap and spine of the blade are also gold engraved, and those parts of the back-strap that are not engraved are filed in the shape of a rope. There are perfectly matched rare colored Fossil Walrus accenting the knife just perfectly. A simply fabulous Smith folder the likes of which we haven't seen since 2004!
