Comments: This knife made and decorated by Howard Hitchmough is truly outstanding. And with work like this it's easy to see why Howard was included in David Darom's recent reference work on Custom Folding knives. Howard is really playing with the big boys these days when it comes to highly original art knives.
This example has wonderful South African Mosaic Damascus bolsters and scales of 18K gold, and the blade is decorated with a solid gold thumb stud instead of a traditional nail nick. The gun blued mild steel back-strap is also delicately filed and the entire package is completed with a solid gold bale. What a gorgeous knife. It would make an ultimate daily carry piece.
