Comments: This knife made and decorated by Howard Hitchmough is truly outstanding. And with work like this it's easy to see why Howard was included in David Darom's reference work on the world's finest custom folding knives.
Howard is really playing with the big boys these days when it comes to highly original art knives. This example has wonderful presentation grade black-lip scales, and the blade is decorated with a solid gold thumb stud topped with an emerald instead of a traditional nail nick.
The back-strap is delicately filed and inlaid with 18k gold and the pivot is also trimmed by 18 carat gold. And the entire frame of mild steel is sculpted, gun blued and decorated with gold pins to complete the package. What a gorgeous knife. It would make an ultimate daily carry piece.
