Comments: Superb Classic single-blade slip-joint Mini Zulu model by talented Texas maker Enrique Pena. Enrique was mentored by slip-joint magician Bill Ruple, and has come up with his own very appealing variations on these classic pocket-knife themes.

Enrique’s knife-making philosophy is simple. He says -” I like a good combination of sharp straight lines and curves that are simple yet nice. I also think that simple knives are a bit like women that are so beautiful that they do not need make-up on their face!”.

One of the things we like most is the way that Enrique has subtlety modified the old shapes to give them just a little something special and to make them his own. We like them so much we’ve recently added one to our own collection!

Fit and finish are superb, and the slip-joint blades open and close very smoothly.

We almost never say this – but we actually think these knives are a steal at their current price and our guess is that they will not stay at this level long based on the quality of the work.
