C. Gray Taylor Custom Knife

Comments: A master knife maker of more than 30 years, C. Gray Taylor is one of the most accomplished artisans working in steel in this or any other time. He is one of only 25 Makers who participate in the Bi-annual Art Knife Invitational, and his work has been featured in magazines and knife publications all over the world. This particular knife, a Mediterranean Bowie, was featured in Jim Weyer's Points of Interest and has been in a single private collection since it was made. The fluted and sterling-silver wire-wrapped handle is made of antique pre-ban elephant ivory and is topped with a wonderfully carved nickel silver pommel. The sculpted bolster is also of nickel silver and compliments the handle and pommel perfectly. Hard to imagine a more elegant or sophisticated looking fixed blade. Flawless execution in absolutely mint condition.
