He is one of only 25 Makers who participated in the Bi-annual Art Knife Invitational, and his work has been featured in magazines and knife publications all over the world. He is currently a Featured Maker at the Arts In Metal (AIM) show now done annually in Nashville, TN.
This particular knife, a multi-blade slip-joint, called an Equal End Lobster, is another example of the master's art. The blade and frame are perfectly polished and the handle sports exquisite presentation-grade antique shell scales accented with rose and green gold pins and flowers - in-layed by the maker and detailed by David Taylor, Gray's son. The liners, bolsters, bale and pins are of 14K yellow gold.
It has three cutting blades, a manicure blade, a button hook and a scissors of CPM-154 steel.
Hard to imagine a more elegant or sophisticated looking one-of- a kind folder, direct from the 2021 AIM Show.
