Comments: At this point what more can you say about Bob Loveless, that he was the most influential knife maker ever, that he was a living legend and more - yes, but even more importantly, Bob was one hell of a knife maker! This classic Archer Chute is one of the most famous and best looking Loveless designs of all.
The double-edged fighters are among the most coveted models still in production at the Loveless shop, and this one made in Riverside CA, sports stainless steel guard along with those classic handle rivets. It also has Black Micarta scales and is complete with the proper sheath.
It came from the Loveless shop in the fall of 2010 in the last group of knives to leave the shop while Bob was still there every day.
All of the sheaths from that last group are marked 9-2-10, which is the day Bob passed away. We don't know how many there are of these special extra long Chutes on Heavy stock with Black Micarta scales and stainless Escutcheon, but it is the only one we've seen and we would not be surprised if there were fewer than 6 altogether!
No serious modern custom knife collection is complete without at least one of Bob's knives. And if you are looking for one special Loveless to fill our your collection we don't think you are likely to see a finer one!
