Comments: This is a really wonderful knife by Wyoming knife-maker Bill Ankrom. Some of you might think you’ve seen this great shape before and you would be right. This is Bill’s interpretation of one of the great folder shapes Bob Loveless did for Jess Horn many years ago. Jess calls it his model DHL, and Bill has altered the dimensions just enough to give it his own special twist. The blade is of Devon Thomas Shark-tooth Damascus and the bolsters are from Robert Eggerling Mosaic. The liners are gold-colored titanium, and the back-strap is of Damascus as well. Bill used Premium Mother-of-Pearl, inlaid with brown-lip escutcheons, to set off the gorgeous Damascus blade and bolsters. The opening mechanism is a unique one-handed front-lock, which adds unusual detail to this lovely gentlemen’s folder. Another Bill Ankrom masterpiece.
