Comments: This single-bolstered dagger is one of our favorite Barry Davis models. It has a lovely shape complimented by outstanding presentation grade Mother of Pearl scales, and just seems to melt into the hand.
The bolsters, liners, pins, bale, thumb stud and toothpick are made of 18K solid gold. In fact at today's gold prices this knife would cost more than $9500 to make!
The execution is flawless and the knife opens and closes like a dream. And it simply doesn't have a bad angle. The gold liners are delicately filed in perfect proportion to the rest of the knife, and the back spring is rope filed as well..
Barry Davis is one of our favorite makers, and this wonderful folder demonstrates why. This is sole authorship at it's best!
