Comments: This superb pair of multi-blade Pen knives are the brain child of highly acclaimed French knife maker Jean-Pierre Sucheras. Jean-Pierre is a prize winning knife maker who has been in the craft for more than 18 years. And in that time he has managed to win several extremely prestigious national awards for master craftsmanship, personally presented to him by the president of France! This makes him one of only eight knife makers to receive these awards in the last century!
(See "Featured Makers" for more details)
A man with two full-time careers, Jean-Pierre produces one-of-a-kind proto-type parts for the French Ministry of Defense when he is not making knives. This high level of technical expertise and broad experience fabricating a wide variety of high-tolerance, one-of-a-kind parts, means he is uniquely equipped to make a wide variety of knife styles with the highest possible levels of fit and finish. In other words this is the same kind of machine and technical background brought to the table by famous makers such as Michael Walker, Dick Hodgeson and Ray Appleton.
This unique pair of multi-blades are lovingly crafted from the best traditional materials and is influenced by classic French knife design . They open and close smoothly and without flaw, and possess a myriad of interesting details to catch this eye. Superb presentation-grade Black-lip Pearl and Antique Tortoise brings a hint of warmth to each piece, and both the Scissors and Nail file are completely hand made!
The good news is that even thought Jean-Pierre does not currently attend any knife shows in the States, American Collectors will finally have the opportunity to acquire the astonishing work of this Master European Craftsman!
