Comments: These knives made and decorated by Howard Hitchmough are truly outstanding. And with work like this it's easy to see why Howard was included in David Darom's recent reference work on Custom Folding knives. Howard is really playing with the big boys these days when it comes to highly original art knives. These two examples have wonderful high-contrast Eggerling Damascus scales, and the blade is decorated with blued mild steel thumb stud topped with a gold pin instead of a traditional nail nick. The back-straps are delicately filed and inlaid with 18k gold and blued mild steel. The pivots are also trimmed by 24 carat gold nuggets. What gorgeous knives. Theywould make an ultimate daily carry pieces!
