Comments: A superb Pico Folder by talented Japanese Artist Harumi Hirayama. The scales are of beautifully patinated Desert Ironwood that have been inlaid with Gold, Silver and various pearls, all by hand, in the classic Harumi fashion.

She uses no power tools, and currently has a waiting list of three to five years depending on the project. Each piece is absolutely one of a kind - and they have to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. I don't think I've ever seen an artist sell out faster at a show - and they very rarely come to market.
