The knife is artfully scrimmed by deceased Master Rick Fields in a Mermaid motif. Many collectors consider Rick to have been the finest scrimshander to have ever worked in the custom knife world. There is certainly no doubt he was one of the very best and his superb work rarely comes to market.
All liners are delicately filed and the blade has a hand-rubbed satin finish. And there is a tiny check in the Mermaid's hair which is almost invisible. Frank's knives walk and talk like no other, and are still an outstanding value.
