Comments: Classic lines from a classic maker. D'Holder is second to none when it comes to fixed blades with clean lines, wonderful shapes and crisp grinds. This beautiful clip-point hunter, called Natchez by D, has his famous handle that includes alternating segments of Fossil Mammoth, Oosic and White Amber spacers.
The guard is engraved by D's lovely wife Pat and the scrimshaw is by the very talented artist Connie Bellet. Best of all, the knife feels simply wonderful in the hand. The knife also comes complete with an attractive sheath finished in the traditional basket-weave pattern and a finely carved turquoise-inlayed Navajo Goncho.
D is a member of the Knife Makers Hall of Fame and has also been a member of the Knife Makers Guild for more than 32 years. He has served as on its board of directors in every position including President. He is also the recipient of the 1981 Red Watson Memorial Friendship Award, the 1991 Berretta Award and the 1997 Blade Magazine's Publisher's Award. This is really wonderful work from a top notch maker who is a true legend in his craft.
