Comments: Talented knife maker Chad Nell was born in Manti, Utah, home of Master knife maker Steve Johnson, in 1971. His father was a master mechanic who enjoyed the challenge of making beautifully crafted arrowheads from flint gathered in the surrounding hills. Needless to say, Chad inherited his father's talent of working with his hands!
Chad has always dreamed about making things that embodied precision, functionality and beauty. And throughout his childhood he developed an appreciation for things built by hand from scratch.When his interests turned to handmade custom knives Chad was fortunate to gain his knowledge and skill under legendary makers Steve Johnson and John Young .
As you can imagine, he inherited those great makers passion for clean, flawlessly made fixed blades, and as a result, each knife is a joy to look at and handle. You might want to check out Chad's work before he has a lengthy waiting list and someone has to tell you "I told you so"!
This is the new "Patton" model custom frame-lock flipper. The blade is Mike Norris San Mai Damascus and the frame is of bead-blasted Titanium. Frame is of Zirconium with Timascus scales. The Patton also features sealed ball bearings, custom pivot hardware and pocket-clip set for tip up carry.
Chad lives in St. George Utah with this wife Marci and their three children Etahn, Sierra and Glade.
