Comments: Now there is a new name from Italy throwing his hat
into the ring and producing high-tech custom folders with interesting
and original designs as well as compelling technical flourishes. His name is Corrado Moro.
Corrado's newest model is a wonderful brand new lock-back called "Vanquish" after the very famous high-end Aston Martin Super car.
Parts of the frame echo the super car grill and other parts echo the wheels. And you will be blown away when you see the movement inside the pivot when you open and close the knife - really unique! The blade rides on high precision ball bearings for smoothness and all of the screws are timed like a fine hand-made shotgun.
And to top if all off, this masterful creation won the prize for "Most Artistic Knife" at the most recent Paris FICX Knife Show in September of 2017!
Before becoming a knife maker Corrado was a technician
specializing in design-engineering, project development
and milling, and in October of 2012 won
the prize for "Best Folder" at the Bologna Show.
He loves the opportunity to work with all types of materials
and is happy to use whatever fits the needs of his client's
best. His knife making philosophy can best be described
as a total focus on the 100% elimination of construction errors
and adherence to proven construction strategies.
Asked about the source for his current knife styles he says
that he likes to create knives inspired by natural and man-made
things around him.
His current production is 12 knives per year.
